Have you seen the new PokerPro hold’em poker tables? The first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about 2 weeks back when I took a quick holiday with my mom to the WinStar Gambling den in Oklahoma.
As I waited for my turn to be acknowledged at the live tables, I noticed how the other folks at the PokerPro tables relate with each other. It was fairly fascinating to say the least. Since the poker table was controlled by a computer, there have been no clay poker chips to do any chip hints, no cards to shuffle and the actual live encounter was stagnant. Maybe I was the only one that discovered this, but I did notice the gamblers in the table had a lifeless quality to them. The cause of this may possibly be since there was no human discussion with the dealer, the atmosphere was rather dull and the players looked bored. It was almost as if I was viewing a live version of an internet texas holdem poker room rather than sitting with hot bodied humans. It was a tiny bit bizarre and I kept flashing back to a show of Star trek and the holodeck malfunctioned.
Since the waiting time for the live tables for more than an hour, I decided to observe how the game play was and to understanding this new hold em poker gaming technologies. Right after playing a couple of hands, I actually felt like I was betting at home. The lack of activity at the table was the primary reason. I like to shuffle my chips, stack my chips, and mix my cards about. None of those items are possible at these computer tables.
One more thing I noticed was how the program dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I played a lot of hands at the PokerPro table and noticed that the wager on was a great deal like an internet based texas holdem poker site. That could have been just a coincidence, except I discovered it to be extremely odd.
Right after wagering a couple of rounds with this "new texas hold’em poker technology", I made a decision that the PokerPro tables were not for me. I’m better off wagering holdem poker on the net at residence and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling house were to receive rid of the live poker tables, I think they would loose a good deal of gamblers.
